Cultivate a yoga practice rooted in the ancient tradition of Hatha yoga. Hatha yoga focues on specific postures (asanas) designed to align the muscles and bones and open the many energy channels of the body so that energy can flow freely and the body can heal itself. Hatha yoga is the original yoga of the great sages of India and is intended to create a balance of strength and flexibility in the body as well as a balance of effort and surrender. It is also a powerful tool for self-transformation as it asks that one pay special attention to the breath, which helps greatly to calm the the mind, encourages deep relaxation and promotes lasting rejuvenation and contentment.
This class is open to all levels and will focus on building a strong foundation and a lasting practice.
